I don’t agree with many of Ben Sasse’s positions. But as the junior senator from Nebraska, Sasse was the first member of the senate to make a public announcement that he would not support Donald Trump in the 2016 presidential election. That’s worth something.


When you have a doctorate in American History from Yale, taught at the LBJ School of Public Affairs at the University of Texas at Austin, were the president of a small liberal arts university, and had previous government experience with the DOJ, DHS and DHHS, you’re not likely to fall for the false promises of a self-interested tool like DJT. I’m glad that Sasse is aware of the corruption of his own party; I just wish he’d be doing more to help save our country from ruin.
